Most American Colleges uses SATs as a reference to their admission.

The SATs (SAT I: Reasoning Test and SAT II: Subject Tests)

Is a program under the ETS (Educational Testing Service). Many colleges and universities use the SAT as "one indicator" among others-class rank, high school GPA, extracurricular activities, personal essay, and teacher recommendations-of a student's readiness to do college-level work. The National Scholarship Program is based on the PSAT.

    ACT (American College Testing Program)

Is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides more than a hundred assessment, research, information, and program management services in the broad areas of education and workforce development. Very few colleges uses it as a reference to their admission.

The first one is wrong. As of now, more and more schools only accept SAT scores. PSAT is preliminary, it doesn't count for school entrance.

    在美國,最負盛名的統考有兩種,一是ACT,另一則是SAT。相比較而言,SAT應用更為普遍。SAT又分為PSAT、SAT-I和SAT-II。既有相同之處,又有許多不同側重。不同之處在於ACT更偏重一點理科,由數學、理化、寫作和閱讀四大部份組成。其中數理難度稍大而閱讀的詞匯量要求相對偏低。
