單獨只說 one hundred dollars  "S" 是需要的

用百萬富翁來做例句:  這是個50萬的問題 (這問題值50萬)
This is a 500,000 dollar question.  This is a half million dollar question.
這裡的 dollars 就省略 "S"
Dollar 成為一個形容詞 表示這個問題值 50萬 (名詞)

補充給樓下的~~
要成為一個形容詞 是沒錯 不過其實不是很需要
例句:  American-born Chinese 跟 American born Chinese
兩個解釋是一樣 只是 American-born 多了 hyphen 就變成形容 Chinese (名詞)

補充~~ 我 double-checked 過了~~ dollar 在 bill (名詞) 前面 類似 "a dollar bill, a hundred dollar bill" 就變成修飾名詞的形容詞 是不能有 "S" 複數

dollar 如果當名詞 就必須使用 plural (複數) 
例句:  a hundred dollars, two hundred dollars

樓主補充的問題 我上次也有看到 馬上就想到你的疑問是哪來的 那時剛好意見沒了 想跟那個人說他的說法是錯誤的~

所以如果你要說 I have one hundred dollars, one million dollars.  這裡的 dollar 是名詞 假如是說 I have a hundred dollar bill 這裡的 dollar 是形容詞 ~

其實是可以不用s的..但並不是省略掉..若是一筆/單數的就是不用加s

這個問題跟year表示年齡時的用法相同:
The boy is ten years old.
He is a ten-year-old boy.

At least, I have never heard about it.

The plural form of "dollar" is "dollars".
And "dollar" is a countable noun.
Therefore, please use "dollars" when you have more than one dollar.

就算是講 a hundred 也要加s
是 a hundred dollars 不是 a hundred dollar 喔!
