johns hopkins? carnegie mellon

which college's better johns hopkins or carnegie mellon?

i don't know which one i should go ... i wish to major in engineering

carnegie mellon has a great engineering school, and john's hopkins is the best for biomedical engineering...

and which one's more famous in taiwan?

plz give me some advises thanx

It actually depends on what you wish to

study

 

mechanical engineering/ CS/ CE /EE => go

to CMU

bio engineering => JHU

 

Both schools are renowned academically,

although JHU has a higher ranking

It doesn’t matters at all which one is more

known in Taiwan (probably JHU), because sometimes people in Taiwan are just

stupid and never realize that to 50 schools in US are waaaaaaaaay better than

NTU

 

However, I would say that Baltimore

is 10^8 times better than that stupid God forsaken land of Pittsburgh.

i say SOMETIMES... I know they love rankings... but many schools are good in different ways... and they normally just know those "brand name" schools"...

Johns hopkins is famous within the biomedical field in Taiwan, and propobly is one of the few best. CMU is also very highly recognized in the engineer field. However, the former concentration is so-called future industry here, which seems more promising.
