    第一個which前面用to,那是因為belong(屬於)後面本來就是加to

to belong to = be belonging to = 屬於...

(It was) a world to which he did not belong.

    =

He did not belong to the world.

(It was) the world of which the hateful teachers were representatives and symbols.

    =

The hateful teachers were representatives and symbols of the world.

    be representative of... 的代表

    be symbol of...

He did't want to live in the world.(他不想住在這個世界裡)

It was the world in which he did't want to live.

    因為live用的介係詞是in,所以這次在which前面倒裝的是in
