An Hypothesis? or A Hypothesis

hypothesis 前面的冠詞要用哪一個呢？原因為何？

    Hypothesis is a tricky word. Believe it or not! No matter A or AN, it's up to you! Similar example is: HISTORY. You can say: a history, you can also say an history! hope that you will like my answer.
