Describing my colleague's working cubicle
My colleague just moved in to the cubicle right next to me last month with 2 boxes of belongings. I really don't know what his job decription is about. But I thought, OK, he must have been a tidy person who could put all of his stuff that he has accumulated for the past 10 years to only 2 small boxes. For the first week, he left the boxes close, and he still was able to work, well, with the computer on the desk. The second week, I spotted a mug with a spoon on his desk. He started eating something in his cubicle. Then one day, I heard some classic music from his office. He put a small speaker out. He said to others what the classic music he was playing and then, he laughed out loud. Not funny to me, I murmured to myself. The third week, papers covered his desk, he started coughing constantly. He told me that he got sick. I said to him, "take care of yourself", and "you'd better stay home". Actually, I didn't want to get sick. He went home. Another colleague brought his daughter in and asked if she could sit at that empty chair. "You need to clean up the food crumbs on his chair before sitting down," I answered. "Yew," the girl responded. Last week, my colleague came into the office, still coughing. Something new on his desk, cough medicine.
