In the story, although Bark had suffered so much, it eventually returned to the wilderness.
Bark used to have so many wonderful memories and lead a happy and carefree life, but the happiness was gone because of its master who was addicted to gambling.
To enrich himself, Bark's master sold it away.
Being betrayed, Bark worked hard every day and suffered from the coldness.
Fortunately, Bark had a strong will to survive that made it the chief and defeat whoever got in its way.
I just can't understand people like that. I can never understand why they discard or sell away their dogs.
Shouldn't they take good care of their dogs?
Sometimes people may have no ways to go and have nothing to do to change their poor situations, and that is still forgivable. Alas! But what?
Perhaps the wilderness is the only home for animals and it would be the best for them to
have their friends' accompanion.
