Hi there:There's a lot of information about these two distributions, so I'll just post the following statement that relates to both of them in here. The binomial distribution with parameters n and λ/n, i.e., the probability distribution of the number of successes in n trials, with probability λ/n of success on each trial, approaches the Poisson distribution with expected value λ as n approaches infinity. This is sometimes known as the law of rare events.Have you tried wikipedia yet? That's where I got this information from. The website is www.wikipedia.org. Just type in "poisson distribution" and "binomial distribution" and all the info will be there. I'm sure it will be lot of help to you. Please feel free to post any question here. I'll keep an eye on this particular post, and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability.Regards,
