    King, Martin Luther, Jr., American clergyman and Nobel laureate, one of the principal leaders of the American civil rights movement and a prominent advocate of non-violent resistance to racial oppression.

    2.When did he live? When did he die?

    He was born on January 15, 1929, he lived from 1929 to1968, which he died in 1968.

    3.What was his “dream” that he spoke about in his famous speech?

    In this historic speech, King said he had a dream that white and black children would one day walk hand in hand and that one day sons of former slaves and sons of former slaveowners would be able to agree to live together.

    Ans: He was a Baptist minister and American political activist who was the most famous leader of the American civil rights movement.

    2.When did he live? When did he die?

    Ans: He was born on Jan. 15, 1929 and died on April 4, 1968.

    3.What was his “dream” that he spoke about in his famous speech?

    Ans: I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true

    meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all

    men are created equal."

    I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of

    former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit

    down together at the table of brotherhood.

    I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state

    sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of

    oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

    I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a

    nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but

    by the content of their character.

    I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists,
