There also are federal standards of composition, and regulations against conditions that would constitute adulteration for milk and all important milk products that enter interstate commerce. In the case of fluid milk the federal standards include minima of 3.25% far and 8.25% msnf.

    牛奶是法律控制(食品法吧)最嚴格的食用品。每個州(美國有51州)法定的脂肪最低標準範圍為3.0到3.8%。大多州的固態物含量規定範圍為11.2到12.25%。當然成分也有聯邦標準,聯邦標準規定規定牛奶中的摻雜物(添加物)以及其他重要乳製品的成分。舉流體牛奶(就是一般牛奶啦,因為乳製品還包含優格、鮮奶油、乳酪等等)的例子來說,聯邦標準包含了3.25%的脂肪最低值以及8.25%的msnf.(不好意思,不知道這是什麼成分)。
