    由維基百科的原文:

    TOMB:

    is a place of burial for the remains of the dead. This is usually either a small building, with walls, a roof, and (if it is to be used for more than one corpse) a door; or a burial vault, partly or wholly in the ground (except for its entrance). They may be located in a cemetery or, in a Christian context, inside a church proper, or in its crypt. Single tombs may be permanently sealed. Those for families (or other groups) have doors or slab entrances for access whenever needed. Monuments within churches or tomb-style chests in churchyards do not usually contain the actual body and should not be referred to as 'tombs'.

    這通常是埋葬死者所遺留下的東西,所以大部分都不會埋葬死者的屍體。

    這墓通常是以有牆壁、屋頂以及門所構成的小型建築物或者是教堂的墓穴。

    GRAVE:

    is a place where the body of a dead human is buried, often after a funeral. Animal graves also exist. They are often found in graveyards and cemeteries.

    Graves may also contain objects that provide clues for archaeologists about the life and culture of the time. In some religions, it is believed that the body must be intact for the soul to survive.

    這種墓通常會有一些死者生前的遺物和死者葬在一起,同時也有動物墓,這些經常在公墓或墓園可以看到,這種墓通常是有石碑

    我再介紹一些各類的墓

    mausoleum陵墓

    Catacomb地下墓穴

    necropolis大型墓地

    Dolmen都爾門(在幾個直立的自然石頭上擺著扁平的大岩石,被視為史前時代的墓碑)

    依照牛津字典原文;

    tomb: hole dug in the ground, etc for a dead body, esp one with a stone monument over it 墳、墓(尤指有石碑的)

    grave: hole dug in the ground for a dead body; mound of earth or monument over it 墓穴、墳墓、墳頭、墓碑

    主要差別在 tomb 強調這墳墓有石碑
