這句中的while 是 跟when 的用法相同 就是 "當" 的意思

翻譯:

有一天當keroro還有一位男孩造訪廟宇（神壇）之時，不小心打破一個花瓶

其實句子有省略過 原本應該是

One day , while they are visiting a small shrine, Keroro and the boy break a vase.

they are 通常省略
