我們英文老師說阿:You had better go home now.後面如果要加附加問句要加had you,就變成⇒

You had better go home now , had you?

請問為什麼會這樣變化,一般來講不是要用hadn't you嗎?

You had better go home now , had you?

You had better go home now , hadn't you?

    正確答案應該是 hadn't you?

    You'd better 的原意是 You had better, 所以按照文法規則來說, 用hadn't是最正確的

    但是, 有少部分的native speakers 有不同的答案. 有人說用 hadn't you聽起來很奇怪

    用shouldn't you 比較順耳

    有人認為had better是一種權威的口氣, 講的人根本不會用附加問句來問對方

    所以一般人會用類似下面的句子

    You would go home now, won't you ?”
