You have a couple of ways from JFK to your hotel.

The Gray Line (www.grayline.newyork.com) offers a minivan shuttle

service to hotels which in Manhattan located between 21st and 103rd

    Sts.

The fare is $14/19 from/to JFK; the roundtrip fare is $28.

New York Airport Service Express Buses (www.nyairportservice.com)

also run to and from JFK every 15 to 30 minutes. The fare is $13/23 for a one way/roundtrip.

Buses leave from several locations: Penn Station; Port Authority Bus Terminal and Grand Central Terminal.

For you, Grand Central Terminal is more convenience just couple blocks away to your hotel.

You also could take AirTrain train to Jamaica station and then switch

    E train to Manhattan.

You could get off subway at Lexington AVE/53 ST.

It is the cheap way to midtown, but you have to haul your luggage

up and over several flights of stairs at the station.

It also allows you more than one and half hours.

The taxi fare is a flat rate of $35, plus tolls and tips.

Generally, it takes you 30 minutes to midtown.

Your others questions are too general.

New York City is the most diverse in the world.

For the fist time visitor, I recommend you to buy a guild-book

or you could do some researches on the internet.

They explain more detail than me.

Try (http://www.nytours.us), you will get lots of information.

Have a great trip in NYC

Big Apple Hostel is between Port Authority and Grand Central.

You could get off either, but Port Authority is a little bit close, it's just three short blocks away.

I never heard Big Apple Hostel before, but you could check that web site below.

dude, you won't get many replay by asking in English u know.

anyway, from JFk you can either take subway or taxi. Of course taxi will be more expensive. I tried both, (don't remember how much was taxi cost) subway takes longer but way much cheaper. If u r not in rush, I recommand u take sub. NY is a high cost city. Save as much as u can. For sub, go http://mta.info/mta/updatebookmark.htm you should find the info.

The rest of question I cannot answer cause I am not living there. But for advice, you may want to go Empire Building, Columbia Universiy (Remember Spider Man I, that is there) Statue of Liberty (http://www.nps.gov/stli/), some shopping mall, 5th ave., Central Park... man, too many place to go.

May I ask when u will go there and how long you ganna stay there?

You can leave me a message to my blog.

    Take care
