IF YOU ARE FEELING HAPPY
There is a story of a little sparrow who decided not to fly south for the winter.Perhaps the sparrow
had heard the sound advice of its fellow birds and just didn't care. Maybe he was enjoying where
he was and couldn't be bothered to make a change. Perhaps he was a procrastinator, always putting
things off for no good reason. Maybe he was scared or apprehensive about being in crowds, or could
have just been angry and rebellious.
But these are only guesses. The fact is that the sparrow refused to go. It wasn't long, however,
before he began to rue his decision. Winter set in. The weather turned cold. Food was in short supply.

As chance would have it, a cow happened to reside in that very paddock. Being preoccupied
with a delicious bale of hay in which she had her nose deeply buried, the cow neither saw nor heard
the frozen sparrow fall behing her. She just did what any cow would do with a delicious bale of hay.

The warm manure melted the ice from his wings and raised his temperature. In fact, he felt
so snug and warm the sparrow burst into song.
