can和 be able to在使用語氣上的說明

如題。

最近因為工作的關係，使用英文對話的頻率變多了，但也發現了不少英文使用上的問題，而can和 be able to在使用語氣上是我最感困惑的，希望英文達人能舉更多的日常會話的例子詳加說明，何時用can何時用be able to才更得宜。

    can, could, 和 (be) able to

    1. CAN has only 2 forms: present --> can, and past --> could.

    所以 can 沒有 present perfect

    e.g.

    I can't run vs. I haven't been able to run recently

    2. CAN has no infinitive

    e.g. Helen can go tomorrow vs. Hellen might be able to go tomorrow

    因此 這些時候 就要用 be able to 來代替 can

    I can speak 5 languages vs. I am able to speak 5 languages --> can 比較常用

    can 的過去式: could

    vs.

    I was able to see. I was able to hear. I was able to smell. I was able to taste. I was able to fell. I was able to remember.

    您好喔!

    其實 can 和 be able to.... 兩者轉換成中文的意思都差不多, 都是指

    "能"....., 所以兩者可替代

    can 的 過去式 could = was(were) able to.....

    但有種情況, 您只能用 be able to, 就是當句中另有一助動詞時:

    例: 我明天將可以去那派對----I will be able to go to that party

    tomorrow. (O)

    因為 will 是助動詞, can 也是助動詞, 所以這句只能用 be able

    to, 而不能說成 : I will can go to that party tomorrow. (X)

    您只要掌握以上原則, 就可知何只能用 be able to, 何時可和 can 交換替用

    例 : He can speak English. = He is able to speak English.

    I could dance . = I was able to dance.

    can和be able to當「能」的時候意思一樣，只是語氣上can是百分百的肯定，be able to是帶有一點點的不確定。

    can 用在表達能力時 = be able to

    在說明會不會某樣事情的時候使用的

    現在式 : can = be able to

    I can speak Chinese. = I am able to speak Chinese.

    我會說中文

    過去式 : can = be able to

    He could not come yesterday. = He was not able to come yesterday.

    未來式 : 的句子中can要用be able to代替之

    I will be able to get it.(O) I will can get it.(X)

    我將會得到它

    其實英文對話中別太拘泥於文法會比較得心應手喔!!
