    閱讀部份

As a saying goes, "A sound mind in a sound body," you should also pay attention to your health besides studying.

Are you interested in reading, watching TV, or surfing the Net? If you are, be careful. Studies show that eight out of every ten high school students in Taiwan are nearsighted. If you use your eyes in the wrong way, you may become one of them. Here is an easy and useful tip to keep your eyes healthy: when you use your eyes for more than forty minutes, rest them for at least five to ten minutes.

You may get sore muscles after sitting and studying for a long time. If you get up and stretch your neck, back, and shoulders every forty minutes, you will feel better.

Also, eating right is important. You may seldom have breakfast, and sometimes you may eat too much junk food. To be healthy, you should eat regularly and try to have more fruit and vegetables.

By following these tips, you will be able to lead a healthier life.

    對話部份

(Emma's brother, Neil, walks into her room.)

Neil: What are you doing, Emma?

    Emma: I'm reading.

Neil: But the room's so dark!

Emma: Yeah, and my eyes are sore.

Neil: I'm not surprised because there's not enought light. You should turn on the loamp. If you keep reading in the dark, you'll need to wear glasses, or even worse, you might go blind. You know that, don't you?

    Emma: Yes, I do.

Neil: Good. Now, it's time for dinner. Mom's getting the food ready.

Emma: I'm not hungry at all. I felt bored this afternoon, so I ate a lot of snacks.

Neil: If you only eat snacks, you won't get enough nutrition. You should ate least try to eat some vegetables.

Emma: All right. Let's go now.
