英文文法和片語

因為最近上英文課要上台講解文法,而我必須講的片語是 be devoted to 但我查到它也等於 devote oneself to 想知道它們的用法有什麼不同和用法在哪裡,,可否造一個造句並解釋它們的不同,還有沒有其它相等的片語,請各位好心人幫我一下。

    devote (verb) oneself (noun) to something (noun)--- if you devote yourself to something, you spend all or most of your time or energy on it.

    e.g. He decided to devote the rest of his life to scientific investigation.

    Be (verb) devoted (adjective) to something (noun)--- 1. someone who is devoted to a person loves that person very much. E.g. 50 years on, the couple are still devoted to one another./ she is devoted to her children.

    2. if you are devoted to something, you care about it a lot and are very enthusiastic about it. E.g. I have personally been devoted to this cause for many years
