英文比較級和代名詞的問題

我知道答案是 B, 但我不知該如何解釋.

這是個人的教學經驗：

基本上，我自編了一個名稱以便教學，叫做「比較級中的最高級」。

先簡單地看個例句吧：

Ex. Helen是比較漂亮的。

 Helen is more beautiful.

可是，當我們將比較的範圍「限制在兩個」的時候，就會產生下面的情形了：

Ex. 兩個女孩中，Helen是比較漂亮的。

 Of the two girls, Helen is the more beautiful.

照理講，應該只有在最高級的時候，形容詞的前面，才會加上定冠詞「the」；不過，倘若比較的數量僅有「兩個」的時候，我們便會像使用最高級的方式一樣，在比較級的形容詞前面，也加上定冠詞「the」－也就是個人自編的名稱：「比較級中的最高級」（主要也是爲了方便讓學生背誦）。

因為在兩者之間，「比較...」，不就也可把它視為像最高級中的「最...」嗎？這樣的回答，不曉得你可滿意嗎？
