Howl’s Moving Castle was described at the 2004 Cannes film festival as being the film with the biggest “anti-war message”. Sophie's conversation with Madam Suliman in her dream who bravely revealed her own believes. She was full of confidence which was why she regained her youth. Same situation happened in Howl's seceret garden. When Sophie lost her confident, she became an old woman again.

Confidence can seem discarnated but the influences can be meaningful. A person without confidence even though if he/she is young, he/she will still have an old image.
