不懂這個discourse. 請各位幫忙.

A: Those hyacinths in the corner are taking a long time to come out, aren't they? I'd have

thought the tulips in the coal scuttle, the tulipss in the cauldron, I thought they'd had it, they

were lying down completely.

B: I know, but they've straightened out.

1. 為什麼A先提hyacinths風信子 然後 提 tulips呢?

2. I thought they'd had it. 中的it是什麼意思呢?

    1. I think whatever *A* was talking about (the flowers), s/he only made a comment of his observation or comparison.

    2. *I thought they'd had it.* - I thought they were dead!
