I had expected the test to be difficult, and it was.

最後不是應該是it did or it had.

    是"it was"沒錯.

I had expected the test to be difficult, and it was.

= I had expected the test to be difficult, and it was difficult.

I expected he would win the game, and he did.

= I expected he would win the game, and he won the game.

I believed he had not finished the job, but he had.

= I believed he had not finished the job, but he had finished the job.

I would not like to tell a lie, but he would.

= I would not tell a lie, but he would tell a lie.

I had been expecting a test that it was difficult, and it did .......

    沒錯, 應該是it was.

I had expected the test to be difficult, and it was.

I had expected the test to be difficult, and it was DIFFICULT.

    如果用did...
