intonation:

the way 「in which 」the level of your voice changes in order to add meaning to what you are saying, for example by going up at the end of a question.

involvement:

the act of taking part in activity or event ,or the way「 in which」 you take part in.

    There is a white house.

    The house has many windows.

There is a white house which/that has many windows.

    There is a white house.

I live there (in the house).

There is a white house which/that I live in. (A)

There is a white house in which I live. (B)

    2. 第二句[in the house](=[there])改為關係副詞詞[where], 調到句首當連接詞:

There is a white house where I live. (C)

    3. (A)的[which/that]因為是"受格", 所以可以省略:

There is a white house I live in. (D)

    比較(B)與(C), 所以大家都說[in which]=[where].

Tom did the job in some way(方法).

You will never find the way.

You will never find the way in which Tom did the job.

    [in the house]=[where](表"地方"), 但是[in the way]=[how](表"方法").

    A kitchen is a place.

You cook food in the place. =>

A kitchen is a place in which you cook food.

    kitchen:

a place in which you cook food

    intonation:

the way 「in which」the level of your voice changes in order to add meaning to what you are saying, for example by going up at the end of a question.

    Intonation is a way(方式).

The level of your voice changes in this way in order to add meaning to what you are saying, for example by going up at the end of a question. =>

Intonation is a way in which the level of your voice changes in order to add meaning to what you are saying, for example by going up at the end of a question.

    involvement:

the act of taking part in activity or event ,or the way「 in which」 you take part in (something).

Involvement is the act of taking part in activity or event.

    or

    Involvement is a way.

You take part in(參與) something in this way. =>

Involvement is a way in which you take part in (something).

I took the chair which was behind the desk

I took the chair "which" was behind the desk

所以 in which 前面那個 in 只是讓文法通

the way 【in which the level of your voice changes】 in order to add meaning to what you are saying, for example by going up at the end of a question.

the way which the level of your voice changes in in order to....

the act of taking part in activity or event ,or the way「 in which」 you take part in.

.... ,or the way 「which」 you take part in 「in」

    (「」裡的in是本來的in)
