so as to , so that 片語的詞性

請問一下

I come to school in order to/so as to learn more knowledge.

...........................so that I can learn more knowledge.

in order to,so as to,so that,這些片語,算是副詞片語嗎(跟不定詞一樣的功能)?

那後面引領的句子,叫做:修飾主要字句的的副詞子句嗎?

謝謝!

已更新項目:

Thank you, Elisa.

(1)

Could you tell me which part of speech "in order to","so as to","so that" are?

(2)

I consider that they all act as "telling why" and modify "come". Is this correct?

2 個已更新項目:

Elisa,謝謝。

我知道那是說明目的副詞子句。

我的問題點,只在於想知道in order to,so as to,so that這三個片語,應該算什麼詞性呢?

我想說片語也是有詞性的,形容詞片語、副詞片語....等等

還是有別的答案呢?

3 個已更新項目:

OK...

所以"in order to", "so as to" and "so that"三個片語都是從屬連接詞,因為他們都帶了副詞子句。

這樣對嗎?

4 個已更新項目:

Elisa我懂了。

in order to/so as to這兩個詞組,沒有主詞,所以是副詞片語。

so that,是副詞子句。

這樣說對嗎?

如果對,我想這就是我的答案了。

5 個已更新項目:

可是字典上說,in order to/so as to是片語。

他們加上了learn more knowledge這麼多字後,也還是片語。

我可以說,in order to/ so as to,是片語,但沒有詞性。

加上learn more knowledge後才是副詞片語嗎?

    No.

An adverbial phrase is a group of related words which play the role of an adverb to modify a verb, an adjective or an adverb. Like all phrases, an adverbial phrase does not include a subject and a verb.

For example (words in pink is adverbial phrase, which modify the words in red):

He came to see me yesterday. (normal adverb)

He came to see me in April this year. (adverbial phrase)

He calls his mother as often as possible. (adverbial phrase)

He was quite unexpectedly nice to me. (adverbial phrase)

An infinitive phrases can act as adverbs (usually telling why):

She hurried to the mainland to see her brother.

The senator ran to catch the bus.

    那後面引領的句子,叫做:修飾主要字句的的副詞子句嗎?

“in order to learn more knowledge”, “so as to learn more knowledge”, and “so that I can learn more knowledge” are all adverb clauses used to modify the clause “I come to school”.

    )

I come to school in order to/so as to learn more knowledge.

...........................so that I can learn more knowledge.

    Adverb clauses 副詞子句是有副詞作用的子句修飾另一個子句

顯示出與地點 (place), 時間 (time), 因果 (cause and effect), 對比 (contrast) 和情況 (condition) 的關係, 并且回答有關 where, when, why, with what goal/result, to what degree 及 under what conditions 等問題.

    2008-12-27 11:20:16 補充:

In this case, “in order to learn more knowledge”, “so as to learn more knowledge”, and “so that I can learn more knowledge” are all adverb clauses answering the question why I come to school.

    Is this clear?

    2008-12-27 15:24:58 補充:

Sorry, the only adverb clause is: "so that I can learn more knowledge"

    2008-12-27 15:37:01 補充:

Because the adverb clause has a subject ("I") and a full verb ("learn"). It is introduced by "so that", and is a dependent clause.

The adverbial phrase is "in order to learn more knowledge" and "so as to learn more knowledge".

    2008-12-27 15:52:50 補充:

By the way, an infinitive phrase consists of an infinitive — the root of the verb preceded by to — and any modifiers or complements associated with it. Infinitive phrases can act as adjectives, adverbs, and nouns.

    2008-12-27 15:53:10 補充:

    For example:

I come to school to learn more knowledge. ( functions as an adverb, telling us why I come to school).

    2008-12-27 15:57:45 補充:

"so that" is a subordinating conjunction. The words used to introduce adverb clauses are called subordinating conjunction.

    2008-12-27 16:07:19 補充:

"in order to", "so as to" and "so that" all answer to the question why here, with the adverb attributes.

    2008-12-29 02:22:05 補充:

子句 includes a subject and a verb.

learn more knowledge is not a 子句

子句是: I can learn more knowledge.

從屬(副詞)子句是: so that I can learn more knowledge.

    從屬連接詞是 so that.

副詞片語是 in order to (/so as to) learn more learn more knowledge

    Yes. 子句 包括主詞和動詞.

    2008-12-30 23:29:02 補充:

    in order to/so as to是片語。

    他們加上了learn more knowledge這麼多字後,也還是片語。

=> "in order to" , "so as to" are both complex prepositions acting as adverbials in the phrase of "to learn more knowledge"
