1) change Active sentences into passive sentences,
or passive to Active
+The librarian read the book to the students.
***This sentence is active because the subject is the one who perform the action. An easy way to distinguish the two is when you see the word 'by' then the sentence is passive, but a passive sentence doesn't always have that word.
-The book is read by the librarian to the students.
+I will introduce you to my boss this week.
- You will be introduced (by me) to my boss this week.
+It would have been fixed on the weekend.
-I would have fixed it on the weekend.
2)Tick the correct statement:
a. You should write about characters in a novel as if they are real
people.
b. You should write about characters in a novel as creations of the
author.
The answer is b, and why
I assume it means writing the character analysis about a novel instead of creating characters for a novel; otherwise, I would believe A should be of a right answer. The answer is B probably because we want to view the characters as elements contributing to the developments of a novel. Hence, we'll need to avoid treating them as real people and judging them with too much personal preferences and emotional attachments.
3) Is the following statement true or false?
"When I write an essay on a selection of poetry, I only need to use
one or two poems to answer the question."
The answer is false, and why
Well...obviously the more poems you can mention in your writing the more comprehensive your essay is.

2) the reason for such statement is that a novel is a fiction, an author's creation, it is not real, hence the author must use the imagination to make the character alive instead of thinking it is real.
