enough是副詞,也可以是形容詞,甚至也可以當名詞。

Perhaps you can put them in a order like this

    Enough>Adequate>sufficient>plentiful>ample

So if you put these words in a different perspective it might be easier to understand. Imagaine there is a group of kids waiting to be feed and you can use these word to describe the amount of food that are available to them

Enough = Every kids will be feed but there are are probably no leftovers.

Adequate= Every kids will be feed and there might be some

leftovers for the kids who are still hungry.

Sufficient=Every kids will be feed and there will be some

leftovers for the kids who are still hungry.

Plentiful=Every kids will be feed and there will still be a lot of leftovers for kids who are hungry.

Ample= Every kids will be feed and there will still be leftovers even when the hungry kids have finished eating.

Or you can swap the order around like this

    Enough>Adequate>sufficient>ample>plentiful

Plentiful/Ample=Every kids will be feed and there will still be a lot of leftovers for kids who are hungry.

Ample/Plentiful= Every kids will be feed and there will still be leftovers even when the hungry kids have finished eating.

Ample and plentiful have pretty similar meaning so it will come down to preference when using these two words.

    ample - more than enough

e.g., You'll have ample opportunity to ask questions after the talk.

adequate - enough or satisfactory for a particular purpose

e.g., Have we got adequate food for twenty guests?

plentiful - if something is plentiful, there is a lot of it available

e.g., Strawberries are plentiful in the summer

sufficient - enough for a particular purpose

e.g., This recipe should be sufficient for five people

enough - is an *adverb, NOT an adjective
