*如果是method, 就搭配by which:

*如果是platform, 就搭配on which:
We should examine the platform on which conflicts can be resolved.
B. Mary truly believes that she cannot fool her husband------all people since he knows her so well.
1. along with 2. for 3. of 4. other than
正解:  4. other than
瑪莉真誠的相信她就算能騙過所有的人也無法愚弄她的丈夫, 因為他太瞭解她了. 
other than是"除了...之外".
這是一個對照比較的語意, 只有4. other than最符合. 
如果題目沒有"since he know her so well"的話, 則1. along with也符合語意.

關於第1題, 我要指出試務單位漏印了一個逗點:
We should examine the process[, by which] conflicts can be resolved.
有了這個逗點, 先行詞是"We should examine the process"整個主句, 這個主句相當於method, 就應填by which;
沒有這個逗點, 先行詞只是"the process", 就要填in which了.

關於第2題, 標準答案恐有錯誤, 我不想順著它來亂掰. 
遍查字典, 並無fool [sb] of [sb]這種片語, 而other than卻是符合語意的, 我覺得它才是正確答案, 建議您向您的老師求證看看, 但請勿先告訴他答案.

這兩句還是需要那個逗點才通順, 因為這個by是針對examine the process這件事, 而非僅針對process.

是的, 大考試錯一題可能就落榜了,  所以如果是命題者粗心, 倒霉的是細心的考生. 那個逗點非常重要, 關係著答案的不同, 漏印了是無奈的事, 可是關務人員特考是老大心態, 他們認為怎樣就是怎樣, 能給人據理力爭的機會嗎? 可是我們卻不能這樣就不去追求正確的文法, 對吧?

正解 :  D. was
but以前的部份為與過去事實相反的假設語氣, 語意已完整交待;
but以後的部份則是事實狀態的直說語氣, 配合前面的過去時態, 且時間全被佔滿be occupied是過去事實, 所以是簡單過去式被動語態was occupied.

關於第1題要用by還是in, 要從語意上來看:
我們應檢查這個過程, 這樣一來所有歧見可獲得解決. (用by)
我們應檢查使所有歧見可獲得解決的這個過程. (用in)
語意上以前者較為通順與合理. 
公職王也同意用by, 只是他認為不需要逗點, 但他忽略了在語意上後面的關係子句不是修飾process一字的, 而是修飾前面一整句的.

更正第2題回答
正解:  3. of
公職王是對的, "of all people"是個習慣語, 當副詞片語用(可移動), 故此句亦可寫為:
..... of all people, she cannot fool her husband.....

我仔細檢視了other than = besides, 用於本句似不符所需語意,  因為意思變成: 除了不可騙所有人之外, 他不可愚弄她丈夫. 
這樣會使得since he knows her so well不知所云.
抱歉原先答other than, 也感謝公職王的答案.
