“A Dream of Red Mansions" is one of the world’s truly great novels. Sensitive, complex, and profound, it is preeminent in Chinese tradition. Reader of the book tend to become addicts, a part of their minds in invaded and under permanent occupation by the host of characters created by Ts'ao Hsueh-Ch'in

“A Dream of Red Mansions" The story was described Chia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, and Xue Baochai love story. These three young people, they have different personalities. Chia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu do not like comply with the traditional. But Xue Baochai who always complies with the traditional and used ethics demands herself. Event through this story didn’t have good ending. It is also talking about feminism, freedom love and marriage.

When I read those two stories, I think although these two writers were born in different times, but those have the same point of view, they are both described the feminism. Perhaps the traditional male chauvinism still exists, yet it can be seen that the thought of female have made fast progress in the modern society.

    “A Dream of the Red Mansions" is a story describing the love among Chia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, and Xue Baochai, these three young people, they have different personalities. Chia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu don’t like to comply with the traditional, but Xue Baochai who is opposite and uses ethics to regualte herself, event through this story don’t has a good ending, it still shows the issues of feminism, freedom of love and marriage of ancient China.(前文既都使用現在式,後文應一致,勿忽現在式忽又過去式)
