In most junior high English textbooks, a lesson starts with a big picture, or pictures, together with a couple of questions. What characterizes these pictures and questions? What is the theory behind such a design?

According to the scientific research, the way one use to teach can lead to different results , and if you want the students to learn faster,the best way is to use pictures.

pictures are more acceptable rather than just words. For example, when you open a book, the first thing that catch your eyes is probably pictures. After seeing them, you might be more understandable about what the paragrahs are saying.

In sum, we can use pictures to give the students a initial notion about what the text books are trying to tell you, and therefore its a good way to use while teaching.

The purpose of junior high English textbook is in order to teach our

kids English speaking skills. When we are speakingEnglish, what

should we have in our mind? Chinese,another language? or a vivid

picture? The answer is clear.
