Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as can someone who's just had a drink.

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as can someone who's just had a drink.

Someone running/ who ran to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature,

Someone who just had a drink can , too.

Like someone running to catch a flight, a man who just had a drink can have a higher body temperature.

Like running to catch a flight, a man who just had a drink can have a higher body temperature.

Someone who just had a drink can have a higher body temperature like a man just caught a plan hurrily.

"as" can work similiar to ""pronoun" but can't be a pronoun, yet "the same" can. You can say "I will do the same." but you can't say I will do "as".

給樓下那位大大"as well as"的用法應作"Someone running to catch a flight as well as someone having had a drink can have a higher body temperature."

    My version:

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as someone who's just had a drink can (have a higher body temperature).

"As" is a conjunction here. After you drop the repeated portion, which you have a good reason to, the sentence becomes

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as someone who's just had a drink can.

Now that the subject for the adverbial clause seems way too lengthy compared to the verb, to invert the sequence is a good idea

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as can someone who's just had a drink.

By the way, "as" can be a pronoun, as in

He made a fool out of himself, as is often the case.

Similar, but not equal, to what "which" can be.

"as" can be used as a pronoun.

    For example:

(used relatively) that; who; which (usually prec. by such or the same):

I have the same trouble as you had.

    See dictionary.com

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/as

As for this sentence, I would interpret it this way:

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature the same way that someone who's just had a drink can.

=> Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as can someone who's just had a drink. (inverted sentence)

Yes, it works as a pronoun and is treated as a pronoun in this case, as stated in the reference I provided earlier from the dictionary.

Of course, it cannot be used in the example you provided. It is similar in that a lot of words have different 詞性, and cannot be interpreted the same.

Another example where "as" can be treated as a pronoun is:

She did her job well, as can be proved by the records.

    Hi, 澍媽媽

The usage I stated above where "as" functions as a pronoun is used only under the situation where it is used to replace who, which, that. See dictionary.com and the examples I provided.

I am sorry that I may not be clear with that and may have cause your misunderstanding. As your example does not apply to the case I stated.

Sorry! typo: may have "caused" your misunderstanding of what I meant.

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, as can someone who's just had a drink.

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature, so can someone who's just had a drink.

Someone running to catch a flight can have a higher body temperature as well as someone who's just had a drink (can).

as代替的是 have a higher body temperature
