Today I want to talk about a problem that I had ever met. When I graduated from senior high school, I was very happy to go to university and enjoyed my life very much. I moved to Tainan from Kaohsiung, and I had more freedom without my parents' control. I just went to school when I had classes. If I didn't have any class, I could stay home all of the day, or could go out for fun. After three years, I became a senior in university, and I began to worry about what I want to do after graduating. Maybe go to graduate school, find a full-time job, or take the teacher certification exam. In our class, some classmates found the jobs; some classmates went to bushiban for graduate school, some for teacher certification exam. I couldn't decide what I want to do in the future, and I didn't know what kind of job suits me. I didn't have any idea, so I discussed with my family and friends again and again. Finally, I made a conclusion that I decided to go to bushiban for senior civil service exam in July, and being a public servant.

a problem that I had ever met. → a problem I had encountered.

“ever” 只能用在interrogative 或 superlative 句型,如:the worst problem I ever had

I just went to school when I had classes. → I only went to school when I had classes.

If I didn't have any class, I could stay home all of the day →

    If(When) I didn’t have a class, I would stay home all day.

    “I didn’t have any class“ 是 “我沒有風度”或 “我沒有格調”的意思

After three years → Three years later

    after graduating → after graduation

some classmates found the job; some classmates went to bushiban for graduate school, some for teacher certification exam. →

Some classmates found jobs; some went to bushiban for graduate school; some went for the teacher-certification exam.

*compound structure 規則: clause 與 clause之間如果用 ; 前後的 clause 皆必須為 independent(要有S+V), 一樣的主詞classmates,在第一個clause後省略是正確的, 但 go for 是phrasal verb,和 go 不一樣,所以不可省略

I couldn't decide what I want to do in the future→ I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do

I made a conclusion that I decided → I reached a conclusion and decided 或I reached a decision

and being a public servant. → to be a public servant
