挽面的怎麼說 --------  face threading

用兩條線或多條線，把線絞起來夾住毛，將毛連根拔掉，英文叫做 threading。
臉部的 threading 就叫做 face threading。

epilation 是【以外力的方式把毛連根拔掉】的統稱。【以外力的方式】有很多種，除了用線絞之外，另外例如：用臘、用絞輪(像除草機那樣)、彈簧夾、用鑷子(一根一根的拔)、、、。

外國人常用的電動除毛器叫做 epilator (像男士用的電動刮鬍刀)，可以刮臉、刮腿毛、刮腋毛等等，如下圖：

線面亦稱絞面等，是在西亞、中亞到東亞歷史久遠的使用線除去婦女臉上的汗毛的美容手段。中國的開臉（開面）習俗與此類似。台灣、新馬一帶稱挽面。

目前都只查到音譯，如果有外國人問起，你可以這樣解釋。
'wan mian' is a traditional beauty technique, face powder was applied and string rolled across the face to remove fine hair to make skin smooth and lustrous (光滑; 骨溜).
簡易版: a traditional way to remove facial fine hair
