We ...., therefore we are. 這個句型是來自笛卡爾的「我思故我在」 I think, therefore I am.
I dance, therefore I am.
We dance, therefore we are.
We blog, therefore we are.
We eat, therefore we are.
We teach, therefore we are.
We answer, therefore we are.

We ...., therefore we are. 動詞後面，最好加逗點。雖然現在很多人怎麼說就怎麼寫，句子短就不寫逗點，但我們自己寫的時候，最好還是加逗點。

Talking about the usage of English punctuation can be a tricky business. For the past few days, the question of whether or not to use a comma before an adverbial clause introduced by "because" has brought about a lot of discussions on Yahoo!Answers.

In the case of "I think, therefore I am", the use of a comma is worth more discussion. I am glad you brought it up.

While there is a convention to use a semicolon to connect two independent clauses without a conjunction, I don't think it applies to this situation; the relation between "I think" and "I am" is too close to use a semicolon.

When two clauses are short and interconnected, a comma instead of semicolon should be used. That's why you see a lot more instances of "I win, you lose" than "I win; you lose." A semicolon used in situations like this would totally choke the feeling of interconnection.

By the same token, the two main ideas in "I think, therefore I am" are so close that a semicolon seems a spoiler.
Look at this example, and imagine if we had put semicolons between the short clauses in the quote:

"A win-win situation should be the result of a professional sales, not the 'I succeed, you fail, see you around!' attitude."
The continuity of the thought would be broken, don't you agree?
