幫忙改英文演講稿 The First Time I Swam
The First Time I Swam Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Martin. Today, I’m going to tell you my swimming experiences. I started swimming when I was ten years old. I thought swimming was hard because it’s really complicated. But after my classmates and teacher inspired me, I realized that swimming is easy and fun. The first time I swam, the teacher told me: ’Today, We’re going to learn freestyle. The most important thing is to breathe. Don’t forget to use your mouth breathe, not your nose.’ At first, I used my nose to breathe, so I felt really strange. Then, I felt embarrassed when he told me that I was wrong. But after I use my mouth to breathe, I felt really comfortable, and it was easier if I use my mouth to breathe. The second time I swam, I swam well, and my teacher was surprised that I learned freestyle really quickly. Then, he said: ‘Now you can learn backstroke. You can’t sink, or you might choke the water.’ But I always sank. Why did I always sink? The teacher told me:’ Of course, you do the wrong action!’ After he told me, I tried again and again. Finally, I know how to swim backstroke. Although backstroke is easier, I still prefer to swim freestyle because sometimes I still sink into the water! One day, my teacher was sick, so he couldn’t come. I never practice without my teacher, so I felt scarily to swim alone. But I thought:’ If swam well, my teacher will be happy.’ When he was back, he can’t believe that I improved so much! Ladies and gentlemen, practice makes perfect, and there’s nothing impossible in the world. It just depends on you! I’m still swimming today because I like swimming a lot, also my favorite sport. How about Thomas Edison? He was such a hard-working scientist. So just do your best and work hard on everything! Thank you for listening!
