'_______"before the crowd, he began to tell his stories.

A) Seating

B) To sit

C) To sit himself

D) Seated

Jim is a smarter kid than his brother. (名詞)He would never have done such a reckless thing.A smarter kid than his brother, Jim would never have done such a reckless thing. Ken was sad about the death of his friend. (形容詞)He couldn't stop thinking about their as children.Sad about the death of his friend, Ken couldn't stop thinking about their days as children. Larry stood at the bus stop. [stood](主動)He was worried about being late for the exam.Standing at the bus stop, Larry was worried about being late for the exam. Helen was hit by a ball coming from the field. (被動)She fell down unconscious and was sent to the hospital.Hit by a ball coming from the field, Helen fell down unconscious and was sent to the hospital. The man was being questioned by the police officer. (被動進行式)He suddenly fell into a fit of convulsion.Being questioned by the police officer, the man suddenly fell into a fit of convulsion.* 所以您的原句是:He was seated before the crowd. He began to tell his stories.Seated before the crowd, he began to tell his stories. He sat before the crowd. ...Sitting before the crowd, he began to tell his stories. He seated himself before the crowd. ...Seating himself before the crowd, he began to tell his stories.

He sits=He is seated=He seats himself.

Sitting before the crowd....

    =(Being)seated before the crowd.....

Sitting before the crowd... = As he sat before the crowd...

= Seating himself before the crowd...

Seated before the crowd... = As he was seated before the crowd...

being (having been) + 過去分詞,被動式的分詞構句,being 通常可以省略
