It was a month ago since I last visited a hospital. I went to the Taipei Hospital to pay a visit to my aunt who had just given birth to her first newborn baby.
The huge hospital is rich in history and remains unspoiled. It has a spacious parking lot and consists of various clinics. Upon entering the hospital, the atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful but filled with a strong smell of disinfectant. It was well taken care of and hygienic. The hospital was fully equipped with modern facilities and well organized. Noticeboards and signs were to be seen everywhere and were informative. There were also inquiry desks available at where they were expected, not to mention that the orderlies were helpful too.
Anticipated seeing Aunt Mary whom I had not seen for long as well as her baby, I rushed to the unit where postnatal wards were located. As I stepped into her ward, she was so delighted that she let out a yell of surprise when she saw me. She welcomed me with open arms and gave me a big hug. Her husband was around, holding and playing with their baby boy. There was a look of joy and sheer bliss on their faces. Aunt Mary told me that she was recovering quite quickly and would be discharged in one week. We had a short chat before I left.
It was such a great experience of visiting to a hospital, not for seeking a treatment or seeing someone who fell sick but sharing joy with someone you loved.參考資料： 自己
