Powerful women everywhere are gonna love, well, make that all women are gonna love David Garret and his music. people magazine has dubbed him the classical hotty and ladies, He is. David is a classically trained violinist with a flair for rock. Rianne went to his rehearsal studio to talk with the musician where she was also treated to a performance with the band. take a look.

You've been playing the violin since age four I hear?

Pretty much, uh, I study at my parents first, My dad is actually a lawyer, he loves classical music and gave me the first violin. I did actually like it in the beginning, and I did practice and I turned out to be you know not bad at it.

no that bad, you're not too bad. okay, so, I've read you actually left Germany without telling your parents, is this true?

Well, I did tell them at the end, obviously I can't just go and say I'm going to buy some groceries and don't come back. it would be very weird.

    see you later tonight!!

What I did do was apllied secretly to Juliard, I didn't tell my parents about the applications and about the idea of moving to New York.

You are having a lot of success overseas, so what made you want to come to juliard and come to new york and break in to music business here?

Well, I never really felt that I had an environment um, you know I really got inspired by doing what I want to do. and I just felt I needed to come somewhere I could really find my own.

okay, so and you actually bus tables(餐館裡清桌子) and did some modeling?

I did indeed, I did everything that helped me to kind of pay for tuition.

I have to ask you about this Guinness Book of world record, tell us about it.
