    1. We're interested in the woman _________ in the last chair of the first row.

    seated?? or seating??

    The answer is "seated" Why?

I sit down on the chair.

I seat myself on the chair. 【I sit down on the chair.】

【I seat myself on the chair.】 比說

【I sit down on the chair.】

We're interested in the woman(who seats=seated/sitting) in the last chair of the first row.

    2. We can expect ________ costs in lumber this month.

    risen?? or rising??

    The answer is "rising" Why?

    直接判斷應選rising costs(上漲的花費)

    EX:

The business is located right in the center of town.

第一題有點吹毛求疵,sitting or seated should be all fine. In fact, I prefer the answer to sitting. 第二題,物價或成本因自然因素上下波動,英文中都認為其為主動的,rising price or cost,只有人為操縱故意的才用被動式,such as raised price (不是risen price)。

    1. We're interested in the woman _________ in the last chair of the first row.

    seated?? or seating??

    The answer is "seated" Why?

We were interested in the woman whom seated in the last chair of the first row."

    2. We can expect ________ costs in lumber this month.

    risen?? or rising??

    The answer is "rising" Why?
