中間有請律師, 後來2008年十月出來, 緩刑三年
But his attorney told him that he needs to wait for 5 years after his probation ends...
He didn't mention anything about the impossibility of naturalization...
Are you a lawyer in the States?
Can you confirm the information for me?
Thank you for the answer.
I'm not sure if a lawyer will answer a question for free here or not.
However, I'm just here by chance.
You never know what might happen online.
Thank you so much.

Sorry to say - he will not be success in naturalization.
In other word, his criminal record will prevent him from naturalization and make him as a target for deportation.
Even he may not be deported, he will never be able to become a citizen.
As soon as he can still maintain his status, he can still sponsor you under F2A only, which has a at least 4-year waiting time.
You will be still able to apply for travel visa. AIT will review your application to determine if you are eligible.

I am not a lawyer (do you really believe that a lawyer will answer questions here for free?).
The simple issue is that - he has a criminal record. So he won't be a U.S. Citizen for sure.
You should find an immigration lawyer to rule his chance for deportation.
