"I sleep late because I study English very hard."

Based upon your Chinese statement, For your English translation,I like to point out two things:
(1) you use 昨晚 in Chinese statement, but in English you didn't
indicate this, in fact, you used a present tense. Therefore, your
English translation means "you do this everyday, at least today, but
not last night".
(2) you use 讀到很晚 in Chinese statement, and you use "study very
hard". These two might be logically related, but not in its meaning.
Therefore, I suggest the following:
I studied English and went to sleep late last night. OR
I studied English till very late last night before I went to sleep. OR
Last night, I studied English very late then to sleep.
The first sentence is just plain, yet it didn't emphasize "last night" like in
your Chinese statement that you place 昨晚 right after 我.
The second sentence gives a time flow from "study" to "sleep", and place
a stronger emphasis to 昨晚 (last night).
The third sentence gives a strong emphasis to 昨晚 by placing it at the
beginning of the sentence.
I know you probably don't care about this kind of difference, but since you have asked the accuracy of your translation, I might as well tell you in more detail. After all, you have already put your thought into it, so you shall be able to understand it better.

I fully agree with Dark Helmet's translation. It is brief and fully understandable. There is NO need to talk about "sleep". After all, if you study late, can you sleep early?參考資料： self
