Grammar Question: want or wanted?
Here are two sentences,
A) I did wanted to go but.... or
B) I did want to go but....
Which is correct? I think B is correct, but I noticed myself saying A awful lots! So.... do you guys also speak like I do?

B is correct
you used "did" (past tense), so the next verb should be in present tense
Or you could just use "I wanted to go but..."

B is correct. Wanted is in past and are often in the end or start of a text, where want is in presence. So I did Want to go but...

B - but still a little awkward unless you're really stressing it by adding 'did.' The best way would simply be 'I wanted to go.'
