As in English, Spanish has two different kinds of article:

    (1) Definite Article:

Singular: el (the); use with masculine noun,

for examples: el tren (the train), el actor (the actor)

la (the); use with feminine noun

for examples: la actriz (the actress), la mujer (the woman)

Plural: los (the); use with masiculine noun

for examples: los hoteles (the hotels), los profesores (the

    professors)

las (the); use with feminine noun

For examples: las escuelas (the schools), las mujeres (the

    women)

a+el becomes al: al cine (to the cinema), al hospital (to the hospital)

de+el becomes del: del autor (from/of the author), del presidente

    (from/of the president)

    (2)Indefinite Article:

Singular: un (a): use with masculine noun

For examples: un chico (a boy), un dia (one day)

una (a): use with feminine noun

For examples: una chica (a girl), una mujer (a woman)

Plural: unos (some): use with masculine noun

For examples: unos chicos, unos dias

unas (some): use with feminine noun

For examples: unas chicas, unas mujeres

    (3)Article "lo":

This is never used with a noun, instead, it is used in the following ways:

(a)As an intensifier before an adjective or adverb, for example:

Sé lo mucho que te gusta la música (I know how much you like music)

(b)with an adjective or participle to form an abstract noun, for example:

Lo bueno de eso es que ... (The good thing about it is that ...)

For this "lo", there are many other use, since you are just a beginner, I just list a couple for you, you can be aware of

In summary, basically in Spanish, articles are used the same as in English. However they are a bit more complicated, because of the gender. In Spanish, noun, adjective and article all have gender and they have to agree with each other.

Therefore, to use them in Spanish is more complicated than in English.

Good luck to you in learning Spanish!

If I can, I will try to find someone to translate it for you.

I learned Spanish in US, teacher spoke only Spanish, so it is easier for me to write in English, also I am not able to type in Chinese, sorry for my short coming.
