while跟when的差別

聽說2個意思都是解釋說 當.....怎樣怎樣....

但我想應該還是多少有差別吧 能解惑嗎 感恩!

    while通常所指的是一個期間。

    She had sprained her ankle while playing tennis.

    Could you look after the children while I cook lunch?

    While in prison he shared a cell with Ron Spicer.(while當附屬連接詞用,表示同時期)

    While I agree with you, I don't believe that your way is best.(while當附屬連接詞用,只表示讓步條件)

    when可以指一個時間點或期間。時間長短要看所使用的動詞語意來決定。

    When he saw me, he waved. (當附屬連接詞用,表示在某一個時間點上)

    Do you know when these houses were built? (當關係副詞,用在問句,問時間點)

    I remember the day when the war began. (當關係副詞,用在關係子句裡,指時間點)
