    by the way, even those idioms can have different variation, but since it is "filling the blanks" , so it likely has only one way. Variation like:

    魚與熊掌不可兼得

    ==> you cannot eat you cake and have it.

    In fact, as far as "魚與熊掌不可兼得" is concerned, personally, I think, "you cannot eat your cake and have it" is better variation.
