The transcript notified me of the ineligibility for admission."?

字典的例子 notify: To give notice to; inform:

notified the citizens of the curfew by posting signs.

The transcript notified me of the ineligibility for admission."?

The transcript showed that I was not good enough to get an admission.

  • I think it's acceptable.

    e.g.

The system will notify customers 3 days before their bonus expires.

but try putting it this way:

The transcript "noted my ineligibility" for admission.

    (Use words more efficiently.)

A transcript inform you of the test results, and it usually notes at the same time whether you are eligible for, say, a scholarship.

But if it is a college you are applying to, it's called an "admission letter."
