是there was or there were呢?
這句應該是用there was 還是there were呢?
There was or were heavy snow falls, and as a result, all the trains were delayed.

There were heavy snow falls, and as a result, all the trains were delayed.

There were heavy snow falls, as a result, all trains were delayed.
The answer to your question has been provided when you add "s" at the end of fall- it means that there were numerous snowfalls had happened that caused the local train stations to issue delay notifications of new trains' schedules.
A suggestion, please use snowfalls instead of snow falls.

Snow
需數量化時, 在前面加 much, any, a little, some, a lot of, # of
There was snow/ a little snow/ some snow/ a lot of snow/ 10cm of snow.
(單數) snow fall = snowfall
(雙數) snow falls = snowfalls
snowfall = 降雪
There were heavy snowfalls.

才所以用there was.
