Culture shock is a term used to describe the anxiety and feelings (of surprise, disorientation, confusion, etc.)

Culture shock is a condition that affects people who travel to a country different from their own. The term describes a traveller's feelings of bewilderment when the environment and culture change from the one that he or she is familiar with. The unfamiliar surroundings, foreign language and strange habits of a new country can all contribute to culture shock.

Not necessarily from country to country. You may experience culture shock just visit different part of your city or even go to a gay bar.

Some grandma's may have not only the shocks but also heart attacks just to log in to certain Internet websites.
