    Bore

    - 當動詞時, 指"使厭煩, 煩惱"

    - 當名詞時, 指"令人討厭的人事物"

    - 但它也有其他意思如"鑽孔, 挖井", "激潮, 怒潮', 或"口徑的"

    - 它也是bear的過去式

    Dull

If you want to compare the adjective meaning, you shall compare "boring" with "dull". Then both have "單調,乏味,無趣,無聊的意思".

boring has only "單調,乏味,無趣,無聊的意思", but "dull" has:

    (1)for color:

She is waering a dress of some uninteresting dull color.

    (2)for weather:

It is a dull day; we shall have rain.

    (3)for sense

The old man's hearing has become dull and you must speak clearly to him.

    (4) for sharpness of knife:

    The blade is dull.

    (5) for mentality of people:

He couldn't teach such dull children.

Hence, "dull" has more meanings as an adjective than "boring".

    typo in #002,

    waering —> wearing

If you replace "dull" with "boring" in those above sample sentences, you will see NONE of them make sense.
