Profit will most likely have risen.Most為副詞,修飾likelyLikely為副詞,修飾動詞have He has most likely lost his way. Most為副詞,修飾likelyLikely為副詞,修飾動詞lost The market will likely continue to drift down for the remainder of the year.Likely為副詞,修飾後面的動詞continue Earthquakes are likely to cause severe and devasting damages. She is likely to forget. I think I will likely arrive tomorrow.I think it is likely that I will arrive tomorrow. It is that….加個likely這個副詞修飾that子句it is likely that... 為何有likely後,還有加to beIt is likely to be hot tomorrow 明天可能很热. 這句文法看不懂,lack of experience修飾誰,told後面為何有against與人名Sarah. Her lack of experience told against Sarah and made her more likely to fail.

It's most likely to V

It's most likely that....

==>又likely為adj, that怎樣解釋。It's most likely.這樣不就是個完整句了嗎?

還是說原句是 it's that.....,然後插入it's most likely that...

    Profit will most likely have risen.

He has most likely lost his way.

    The market will likely continue to drift down for the remainder of the year. Earthquakes are likely to cause severe and devasting damages.Likely為anj修飾後面的to cause不詞當名詞 副詞放在be動詞are之後。 She is likely to forget. Likely為adj修飾to forget不定詞當名詞 副詞放在be動詞is之後。 I think I will likely arrive tomorrow.I think it is likely that I will arrive tomorrow.

It is that….加個likely這個副詞修飾that子句it is likely that...

    為何有likely後,還有加to beIt is likely to be hot tomorrow 明天可能很热. is to be是用來表示未來的寫法,表面上看是現在簡單式。 這句文法看不懂,lack of experience修飾誰,told後面為何有against與人名Sarah. Her lack of experience told against Sarah and made her more likely to fail.

    Sarah's lack of experience told against herself and made her more likely to fail.

    主詞是lack of experience

與made her ...

    to tell against xxx = 發生(對xxx不利的)作用(影響)

    Everything told against him.

    likely to do something: The study shows some people are more likely to suffer back problems.

    likely + that: It seems likely that interest will rise.

    It is more than likely I'll see Ben this week.

    Earthquakes are likely to cause severe and devasting damages.

    She is likely to forget.

    I think it is likely that I will arrive tomorrow.

    It is likely to be hot tomorrow.

    Her lack of experience told against Sarah and made her more likely to fail.

    這裡的likely也是形容詞,當受詞補語,受不定詞to fail的修飾。

    受字數限制,我己不能再補充,只能發表在意見欄。

    It's most likely to V原

    ==>這裡的likely為adj。不定詞to +v是delayed subject,前面的it是虛主詞。

    It's most likely that....

    ==>likely為adj, 是主詞補語,後面的that子句是delayed subject(延遲的主詞),前面的it是虛主詞。

    I think it is likely that I will arrive tomorrow.

    這不是強調用法,It是假主詞,真正主詞為that I will arrive tomorrow,為了避免修辭學頭重腳輕,而使用該句型 為何有likely後,還有加to beIt is likely to be hot tomorrow 明天可能很热. It是假主詞,真正主詞為to be hot tomorrow 不定詞片語 主詞lack 而of experience修飾lack,told是不及物動詞,against針對Sarah.最後的likely為adj修飾her,不定詞to fail當副詞修飾likelyHer lack(S) of experience told(V) against Sarah and made(V) her(O) (to be省略) more likely to fail(不定詞片語當受詞補語修飾her). 经验缺乏影響到莎拉且让她更有可能失败。

    2013-01-17 23:33:03 補充:

    to be more likely to fail(不定詞片語當受詞補語修飾her)--

    2013-01-19 15:46:53 補充:

    likely 是個萬事通,可當副詞和形容詞,有些+ly的單字偏偏是形容詞如friendly,lovely,kindly-----

    好些似是而非的文法。近乎天才了。

    奉勸學些英語人士的理解方式,和 likely 的例句和註解。譬如:

    2013-01-17 22:54:52 補充:

    Usage Note: Used as an adverb likely is most commonly preceded by a modifier such as very or quite: He will quite likely require some help with his classes. But the unmodified use of likely is common enough in educated writing,

    2013-01-17 22:55:46 補充:

    and though it might be better avoided in highly formal style, it should not be regarded as incorrect: They'll likely buy a new car this year.
