If you do know how to do an Elmsley Count, let's continue…
So, you are going to start off with the Aces in this position: Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds.
From top down.
And the first move is a triple lift. Now, to get ready for this is pretty simple, because we have a four card packet. All you have to do is pull down on the bottom card, and everything above that is gonna be three cards. You just do the lift right there.
Okay, so once you've done the lift, you are just going to turn your hand palm down. You are going to slide out that Ace of Spades, turn it over, replace it, and square-up.
But you have to justify that series of movements somehow. So the way I do that is, I explain how I'm going to turn over the Aces in a cool way, an interesting way. And then I say, "But I'm not going to do it just like this. That's kind of boring." That's what I say, but you can come up with whatever you want.
In the end, you are going to end up in this position: two face-up Aces sandwiched between two face-down Aces.
And now most of the rest of the trick is just Elmsley Counts. I think there's one more triple lift somewhere in there, but we'll get to it.
So, once you are in this position, you do some kind of magical movement. You say "Watch the first Ace turn over," and then you do your Elmsley Count. And that will show the Ace of Hearts while hiding the Ace of Clubs. Then you do another magical movement and you do another Elmsley Count. This time the Ace of Clubs will show, and the Ace of Hearts will be hidden. After you've counted it, instead of putting the top card on the top of the packet, you're just going to put it on the bottom. So you're going to end up with a face-up Ace on top.

This is going to be your second lift here. It's another triple lift. Just pull down the bottom card with your pinky and lift everything above that, and turn it over. So, now you are in this position, and you do another Elmsley Count. This trick is pretty much all Elmsley Counts.

This time, once you get to the last card, again it's going to go to the bottom instead of to the top. Then you spread the cards over, you remove the Ace of Diamonds, and you place it on the top.

And now, you are going to get a break above the top two cards. So, you are going to get a break above, I'm sorry, below this card, and place this card on top. You are going to grab the two cards, flip over these two cards. And now just place these on top.

Okay, and what that does is puts the Ace of Spades in the third position from the top.
So now, once you are in this position, you say the Ace of Spades is "extra tough, so one twist isn't enough." You do the Elmsley Count. You show there is no turned-over card.

You do another second magical gesture, a stronger magical gesture, whatever. And then you do another Elmsley Count. And this time the Ace of Spades will show.
And that's the end of the trick. This is an easy trick to add additions on to it. You can expand it however you want.

But it is a really simple trick. It's impromptu. It only uses four cards. There is no clean-up. There's no get-ready. It's a pretty cool trick to do. So, I hope you like that. Bye-bye. Take care.
